What karat gold, Swarovski has used usually in their gold jewelry? I recently received a Swarovski necklace valued at around $ 140 as a birthday gift from my very sweet and generous friend. most settings are not gold, but can not gold-or rhodium. Plating is best not worn everyday as it will ultimately be borne. Hope this is helpful ..

Swarovski Jewelry is not solid gold, but rather gold plated. It will in time wear off. Keep in mind Swarovski is what is known as “fashion jewelry” and is NOT designed to be worn every day!
That said, if you keep it safe at night in the box it came in, and be careful never to expose it to harsh chemicals, or get it wet, it will last for quite some time.
Wear it on special occasions, and enjoy!
