If it is very important to you, then I would suggest is taken to the jewelers. This would probably be safer then it tries to do it yourself.

Gold plated is not real gold. Once the plating is gone, the cheap metal under neath start exposing and I believe that’s what’s happening to yours.

When I see something labeled GOLD PLATED, no matter what brand, how expensive or cheap, or who sells it, it is still CHEAP METAL. Buyer beware.

You can try a soft polishing cloth, sold at jewelry stores.

Be careful not to use anything that will tarnish it more or caused the plating to be more scratched.

I find the vinegar method works the most my mum does metal detecting and found a small gold ring she soaked it in vinegar and the next day it was sparkling !!!!!!

just leave it overnight in a bowl of vinegar :) x

Hi Sara, if your gold plated charm bracelets was tarnished, it means that they were not real gold plated, you can ask one jewelry manufacture to plate real gold again, that will be better. Hope this answer can help you.
